FISHING

Florida law regulates the possession of fresh and saltwater fish, including shellfish and crabs. 

You can purchase a fishing license from the Tax Collector’s Office or from various bait-and-tackle shops and sports retailers, or you can purchase a license online at the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission website at http://www.myfwc.com.

You don’t have to obtain a saltwater fishing license is you are a Florida resident fishing in saltwater from land or from a structure fixed to land, or if you are fishing from a pier which has been issued a pier saltwater license.  The types of fish in the area include snapper, triggerfish, porgies and grouper.
